The TCR UK series, which is set for its inaugural season in 2018, is gaining momentum with the announcement of the ‘taster day’ for potential teams and drivers at the Brands Hatch Indy circuit on 29th of November.
The response from fans, teams and drivers to the new TCR UK series has been hugely positive and now drivers and teams will have the chance to sample a range of cars on offer from the ever expanding manufacturer list of vehicles built for TCR. Including the popular Audi Sport RS3 LMS TCR and the newly launched Hyundai Motorsport i30 N.
Testing has already begun with some teams having already made their brand decision on cars for the upcoming season. Motorbase, better known for running Ford Focus’ in BTCC have purchased two Volkswagen Golf TCR cars and have already hit the track. Sean Walkinshaw Racing have also tested their Honda Civic TCR at Snetterton and Brisky Racing have also put their VW Golf TCR through its paces.
The media day has also been announced with a visit to Silverstone on 6th March to view the runners and riders of the 2018 season, two weeks ahead of the debut race at the same venue.
Two others announcements include the confirmation of Vital Equipment as fuel supplier and Milltek Volkswagen Racing Cup as a support series. The winner will have the chance to test a SEAT TCR courtesy of Maximum Motorsport.
