Britcar: JMH Automotive Claim Endurance Double at Silverstone

John Seale and Jamie Stanley take race one honours for JMH Automotive.

  • Non starter for race one is Matty Evans in the #26 BMW 1M.
  • Starting on for race one is John Seale who shares the car with Jamie Stanley who put in a stunning lap in qualifying to clinch pole with a time of 0:59.978 and along side them on the from row is Abbie Eaton in the first of the Pragas #333.

Endurance Category Race One:

Lights Out and its a great start for the white #111 Praga of Nathan Wells who takes the lead from the #333 Praga of Abbie Eaton with #55 Lamborghini John Seale dropping to 3rd after starting from pole.

Contact at the front.

Disaster for Praga as the #333 of Abbie Eaton makes contact with the #6 of Richard Wells who spins at Village corner.

The #8 Simpson Motorsport Lamborghini of Frank Pelle takes the lead of the race down the Hangar Straight from the slowing #333 of Abbie Eaton who must have damage from the earlier contact the the #6 Praga.

At the end of the first lap its the #8 Lamborghini of Frank Pelle who leads from the #55 Lamborghini of John Seale and the #77 McLaren of Will Powell.

Abbie Eaton comes into the pits in the #333 Praga to check for damage.

The #23 Nissan Nismo GT3 of Richard Wheeler is under some serious pressure from the #91 Praga of Charlie Martin and the #31 Praga of Rod Goodman as Goodman takes Martin at Stowe and then makes a nice move on Wheeler at Village corner.

The #77 McLaren of Powell is all over the back of the #55 Lamborghini of Seale who makes his move coming out of Stowe and moves into 2nd and with it the fastest lap of the race so far 1:04.070.

The #8 of Pelle is fulling away at the front with a close battle behind between the #77 McLaren, #55 Lamborghini and the #29 Praga of Richard Morris.

John Seale is under serious pressure from the #29 Praga of Morris.

Richard Wells has kept the #111 Prage going after his coming together with the #333 Praga on the opening lap and is in 29th place.

Frank Pelle in the #8 Lamborghini now has a lead of 3.2 seconds.

the #58 Ligier of Luke Davenport loses the rear of the car which spins and rotates backwards into the #99 Seat TCR of George Heller at Vale and the #108 Maserati of vance Kearney tries to void them both but makes contact with another car and pulls the Maserati off later a few corners later.

The #77 McLaren closes on the leading #8 Lamborghini and is now just 0.3 seconds behind.

Safety Car Deployed.

The safety car has been deployed so the #58 Ligier, #99 Seat TCR and the #108 Maserati can be recovered.

The top 10 behind the safety car: #8 – #77- #55 – #29 – #31 – #91 – #23 – #16 – #144 – #87.

The #58 Ligier being recovered has massive rear end damage and not sure if the car can be repaired in time for race two?

The #99 Seat TCR has lots of left side impact damge.

Both Pragas involved in the first lap collision the #111 and #333 are both back on track.

Pitlane is open and the first to pit is the #29 Praga followed by the #91 and #31.

Safety car comes in at the end of lap 15 which is followed by the #8 Lamborghini of Pelle.

Green Flag.

The green flag is waved and racing can resume and the #77 McLaren has taken over the lead from the #8 Lamborghini which has pitted and then comes back out in 20th place.

Lucky Khera in the #24 Ferrari has also pits & come out in 21st place.

Lap 19 and John Seale in the #55 Lamborghini now pits and hands the car over to Jamie Stanley.

The #77 McLaren now leads from cars #144 – #16 – #32, but all these have yet to stop.

Cars #138  Simpson Motorsports Audi and #13 Simon Green Motorsports Porsche Cayman are having a great battle for 7th place.

New fastest lap of the race

Jack Fabby in the #91 Praga posts a new fastest lap of the race 1:02.018 and is flying around the track.

The #95 Ginetta of Stuart Lines whilst coming onto the Hangar Straight and is nearly collected by the #69 Porsche of Dave Bennet.

Jamie Stanley now in the #55 Lamborghini is on the move and is charging through the pack.

#8 Lamborghini of Pelle takes the #23 Nissan of Danny Harrison for 5th place.

  • Black flag for car #95 for not serving its Stop and Go penalty

Jack Flabby in the #91 Praga is frantically flashing his lights when coming up to overtake back markers.

The #29 Praga now has a lead of 6.3 second but Jamie Stanley in the #55 Lamborghini is closing the gap whilst posting a new fastest lap of the race 1:00.929

Jamie Stanley is flying and overtakes the #29 Praga for the lead of the race with just under ten minutes to go.

Jamie Stanley in the #55 Lamborghini has lapped up to 6th place.

the #23 Nissan takes the #87 Praga for 5th place.

Slow car on track

Jack Fabby in the #91 Praga take 2nd place from the #29 Praga.

The #60 Seat of Woodman is slow and is touring hoping to make it back to the pits.

The #29 Praga is weaving all over the track, does it have a problem & maybe short on fuel?

Cars #32 and #4 have a coming together at the exit of Abbey and spin, but both rejoin the car.

The #55 Lamborghini has now up to 4th place.

Cars #111 and #23 are battling for 4th place.

Jamie Stanley in the #55 Lamborghini crosses the and take the chequered flag to win by 21.437 seconds (51 laps completed)

Jack Fabby in the #91 Praga crosses the line to take 2nd

The #29 Praga manages to hold onto 3rd despite being short on fuel.

John Seale and Jamie Stanley win race two and with it the double for JMH Automotive.

  • #24 Ferrari of Lucky khera is a non starter for race two (possible differential problems with the car)
  • #26 starts race two after missing race one with an oil leak.

 Endurance Category Race Two:

Lights out and its another great start for the #111 Praga who takes the lead of the race from the #23 Nissan, the #333 and #91 Prags and the #55 Lamborghini.

Carnage at the back!!

Theres Carnage at the back as cars #66 – #78 – #6 – #4 – #60 have a coming together at the Village complex and the #95 Ginetta of Stuart Lines tried to avoid the carnage but the #144 Ferrari of Goddard and Hollings has no where to go and smashes into the side of the Ginetta and caused major damage to both cars.

The #8 Lamborghini of Pelle takes the #55 Lamborghini of John seale at Vale just before the safe car board come out.

Top ten behind the safety car: #111 – #23 – #29 – #91 – #8 – #55 – #87 – #32 – #16 – #77.

The #38 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 finally joins the race 6 laps down after failing to make it to the grid.

Safety car is in at the end of lap 9.

The #29 Praga which is in 3rd place is slow at the restart, possibly the same problem it had at the end of race one?

Its a great restart by the top five #111 – 23 – #8 – #55 – #87.

The #8 Lamborghini of Pelle takes the #23 Nissan going into Abbey for 2nd place.

Pit lane is open.

The pit lane opens on lap 11.

The #8 Lamborghini is pushing and with it posts the fastest lap of the race 1:05.664.

The #69 Porsche of Fothergill hits the back of the #31 Praga of Goodman at Stowe and around spins the Praga.

The top three #111 – #23 – 55 all pit and now Pelle in the #8 Lamborghini now leads by 4.6 seconds from the #87 and #91.

The #91 Praga of Charlie Martin take the #87 Praga at Stowe to move into 2nd place.

New fastest lap.

Charlie Martin posts a new fastest lap of the race 1:04.947 and pits not long after.

Jamie Stanley in the #55 Lamborghini now in 17th place after their pit stop is on a mission and posts a new fastest lap of the race 1:00.180.

Lap 18 and the #8 Lamborghini now leads the #87 Praga by 9.3 seconds.

The #8 Lamborghini pits on lap 20 followed by the #87 Praga and the #84 VR Motorsport Praga of Bridle takes the lead of the race with the #16 Ferrari of Grimes but has also yet to shop.

2nd –  8th place all stop on lap 21, which leaves the leader the #84 Praga the only one who is yet to stop.

The #77 McLaren takes the #111 Praga for 5th place

Another fastest lap  for Jamie Stanley in the #55 Lamborghini 1:00.485 and he is now in 10th place.

#8 Lamborghini is having a great battle with the #87 Praga for 11th place.

Jamie Stanley is still flying and should be leading the race once all the pit stops have been completed.

Puncture.

We have slow car on track and its the #69 Porsche who has a left rear puncture and is hoping to make it round to the pits.

The #32 Porsche of Cunningham takes #22 Seat for position.

The #72 Aston Martin pits with maybe an issue?

The #111 and #91 Pragas are having a great battle for 4th place.

Jamie Stanley now leads the race from #333 – #23 – #111 – #91 – #77 – #8.

Lap 36 and the #55 Lamborghini of Jamie Stanley now has a lead of 23.3 seconds.

The #111 Praga passes the #23 Nissan for 3rd place.

There is no stopping Jamie Stanley who has now opened the gap up to 30.9 seconds.

Jack Fabby takes a spin but continues and keep hold of 4th place.

The #55 Lamborghini takes the chequered flag to compete 47 laps and wins by 42.435 seconds and with it the double for JMH Automotive.

Top ten finishers: #55 – #333 – #23 – #91 – #77 – #111 – #8 – #87 – #31 – #16.

  • All drivers involved in the lap 1 incident were a bit shaken but otherwise ok.
